T20 World Cup 2024: Umpires announced for India vs Pakistan match, they got important responsibility
India Women vs Pakistan Women ICC T20 World Cup 2024: Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 is going to start on UAE soil in October. Fans are eagerly waiting for this Mahakumbh of cricket. For the T20 World Cup 2024, the Indian team has got a place in Group A and this time apart from India, the group includes Pakistan, New Zealand, Australia and Sri Lankan teams. The Indian team is to play its first match against New Zealand on 4 October. Then a big match is to be played against Pakistan on 6th October. Now a big update has come out regarding this match itself.
Eloise Sheridan and Lauren Aizenbag will be umpires in IND vs PAK match
Australia’s Eloise Sheridan and South Africa’s Lauren Agenbag have been appointed on-field umpires for the India-Pakistan match of the Women’s T20 World Cup next month. West Indies’ Jacqueline Williams will be the television umpire for this important match to be played at the Dubai International Stadium on October 6. The ICC released the list of match officials for the tournament to be held from October 3 to 20. All match officials for this World Cup are women. It consists of three referees and 10 umpires.
Indian team will play match against Australia on 13 October
GS Lakshmi will be the match referee from India, while Vrinda Rathi will be in the role of umpiring. The tournament will start with the Bangladesh vs Scotland match on October 3. The Indian team will start its campaign against New Zealand on October 4. In this match, Williams and England’s Anna Harris will be the on-field umpires while Australia’s Claire Polosak will play the role of TV umpire. For the match between India and Sri Lanka to be played on October 9, New Zealand’s Kim Cotton and Agenbag will be the field umpires while England’s Suzanne Redfearn will be the TV umpire. Redfern and Cotton will be on the field for India’s match against Australia on October 13, while Williams will be the third umpire.
The umpires and match referees for the semi-finals (October 17 and 18) and final (October 20) of the tournament will be announced later. The ninth season of the T20 World Cup was to be hosted by Bangladesh, but due to political unrest in the country, it is being held in the UAE.
