Mumbai: Bollywood action actor Vidyut Jamwal was last seen in Crack: Jeetega To Jeega (2024), which he also co-produced. Now he has talked about the financial losses he suffered after the film flopped at the box office, revealing that he has lost ‘crores’. In an interview with Zoom, Vidyut talked about recovering the losses in just three months.

What was the first thing he did? Joined a circus. ‘Losing money comes with a lot of advice’ Vidyut said, “Recently Krack released in theatres and didn’t do as well as expected – and this is the first time I produced it – I lost a lot of money in it. For me, the most important thing was how I would deal with it.

With losing money comes a lot of advice. (From people) who have lost money in the past and from friends, who really care about you, so it was important for me to detach from all the advice.” ‘I became debt free, it’s a miracle’ Vidyut said, “After the release of Krack, I joined a French circus, which was a circus of a friend of mine; and spent about 14 days with these elite people… I came back home and sat down and I thought ‘okay, I have lost so many crores and I didn’t know I would ever lose it, so what do I do’? And in three months, I became debt free. It’s a miracle.”

The actor said that when his friends asked him how he got out of debt, he simply said that he ‘didn’t stress about it’ and sat down to execute a plan to figure out his finances. Vidyut worked with director Aditya Dutt in Crack, which also stars Nora Fatehi, Amy Jackson and Arjun Rampal. Backed by Vidyut and Abbas Sayyed, the film was released in theatres on February 23, 2024. In April, it started streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.
