According to the news of Cricbuzz, Khalid Mahmud, who was completing his third consecutive term as director, has decided to resign from the post before the completion of his current term in view of the political changes in the country. Mahmud has also played his responsibility as Game Development Chairman for the Bangladesh Cricket Board for a long time and during this time the Under-19 team of Bangladesh also won the ICC Under-19 World Cup in the year 2020. Apart from Khalid Mahmud, the names of Jalal Yunus, Shafiul Alam Chowdhury and Naimur Rahman are among those who resigned from their posts from the Bangladesh Cricket Board.

The team is yet to be announced for the India tour

Bangladesh is scheduled to play a two-match Test series against India from September 19, for which the team has not been announced by the board yet. Last week, the BCCI announced the team for the first Test match of this series to be held in Chennai, in which some senior players including Virat Kohli have also returned to the team.
