The winner will get so many crores of rupees

The ICC has announced to give approximately $7,958,000 (Rs 66,64,72,090 crores) for the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, which is more than double the previous season. The winner’s prize money has also been increased by 134% and the winning team will now get $2,340,000 (about Rs 19,59,88,806 crores). At the same time, the runner-up team will get $1170000 (about Rs 9,79,78,432 crores).

Women will get the same prize money as men

According to the ICC statement, the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 will be the first ICC tournament in which women will get equal prize money as men, which will be a significant achievement in the history of this sport. This decision was taken at the ICC Annual Conference in July 2023 when the ICC Board decided to equalize the prize money seven years before its pre-determined schedule of 2030. In this way, cricket has become the first major sport in which the World Cup has equal prize money for men and women. The Indian men’s team received a prize money of US $ 23 lakh 40 thousand for becoming the winner of the T20 World Cup played in the US and West Indies this year.

T20 World Cup 2024 will start from October 3

The Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 will start in the United Arab Emirates from October 3. In this, the teams have been divided into two groups. India has been placed in Group-A. Apart from India, this group includes teams from Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan, Sri Lanka. Group-B includes teams from South Africa, England, West Indies, Bangladesh, Scotland.
