In the election, 5 candidates from BJP, 2 from Shiv Sena and 2 from NCP of Mahayuti are in the fray. At the same time, three candidates of Maha Vikas Aghadi are in the fray. There is 1 candidate from Shiv Sena (UBT), 1 from Congress and 1 from Shekap. Sharad Pawar’s NCP has supported the candidate of Bharatiya Shetkari Kamgar Paksha (PWP).

There is a secret ballot in the Legislative Council elections. There was cross voting in the Legislative Council elections held in 2022, so almost all the parties are worried about the threat of cross voting. A candidate of NCP (AP) may lose the election, so Ajit Pawar is trying to collect every single vote.
