Plan to bring everyone back directly to India via chartered plane

BCCI Secretary Jai Shah, while speaking to the media in Barbados, said in his statement that he is planning to evacuate the players and the media persons present there safely. We were planning to take the Indian players and everyone else from here by chartered plane on Monday but the airports were closed before that. We are in touch with the companies operating chartered aircraft, so as soon as the airport operations resume, we will fly to America or Europe.

The team may leave after July 2

Jai Shah further informed in his statement that our plan is to fly directly to India after refueling in America or Europe. We are in touch with the airport authorities. The airport is likely to remain closed till Tuesday afternoon. If the weather improves significantly, it may open earlier. The wind speed should be low to start flight operations. We need to wait and watch. Let us tell you that in the Indian team that won the T20 World Cup, there are 5 players who also have to participate in the T20 series against Zimbabwe from July 6.
