Monsoon has been kind to Chhattisgarh, it is raining intermittently, IMD has issued a yellow alert

Monsoon has knocked in Chhattisgarh and heavy rains are continuing in the state. With the entry of monsoon, it is raining intermittently in the entire state. On Saturday, many districts of Chhattisgarh received heavy rains and light rains in many parts. The Meteorological Department has also predicted heavy rains on Sunday, June 30. A yellow alert for heavy rain has been issued in all the districts of Surguja division of the state and Pendra and Korba of Bilaspur division. Apart from this, light rains are expected in the remaining districts of the state.

According to the Meteorological Department, a yellow alert has been issued for heavy rain in Surguja, Surajpur, Balrampur, Jashpur, Korea, Pendra and Korba of Chhattisgarh on June 30. Along with this, the department has predicted light to moderate rain in various parts of Chhattisgarh from June 30 to July 2.

How much rain fell

According to the Meteorological Department, Bamhandih in Janjgir-Champa district received the maximum rainfall of 92 mm, while Suhela in Baloda Bazar received 88 mm and Masturi in Bilaspur district received 68.4 mm of rain. Apart from this, 60 mm of rain was recorded in Sarangarh, 50 mm in Korba, Baramkela and Simga, 40 mm in Sonakhan-Gidhauri-Palari-Bilaigarh. Whereas, 30 mm of rain was recorded in Devbhog, Kasdol and Bhatapara, and 20 mm in Raipur, Marwahi, Bharatpur, Pendra, Arang, Sakti, Raigarh, Mahasamund, Pithora and Chirmiri.

Due to rain, a drop in temperature was recorded in many districts of Chhattisgarh on Saturday. The day temperature in the capital Raipur dropped by 4.3 degrees Celsius. The temperature here was recorded at 28.8 degrees Celsius on Saturday. The Meteorological Department has said that moderate to heavy rain may occur in many areas of the state in the next two days.
