Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max could feature same screen, camera as iPhone 14 Pro Max: Report

Apple iPhone 15 series is expected to arrive in September 2023, but the leaks for the upcoming lineup have been pouring in even before the iPhone 14 series was made official. A new report reveals more information about the iPhone 15 Pro Max hardware, some of which contradicts the earlier leaks.

Tipster Revegnus (@Tech_Reve) claims that the iPhone 15 Pro Max will use the Sony IMX 803 camera sensor, the same as the iPhone 14 Pro Max. Earlier leaks suggested that the iPhone 15 Pro Max would come with an upgraded IMX 903 camera sensor on the back.

The reason for this contradiction could be attributed to the rumoured iPhone 15 Ultra smartphone. There is a chance that the Ultra model could be the one to feature the upgraded camera while the Pro Max could come with the same sensor as its predecessor.

Revegnus further claims that the iPhone 15 Pro Max will come with the same M12 panel supplied by Samsung, which is currently being used in the iPhone 14 Pro Max. The tipster reiterates the most obvious change that we will be seeing in the upcoming iPhone– the 3nm A17 Bionic chip. The report claims that this chipset will be paired with 8 GB LPDDR5 RAM, marking a bump from the 6 GB RAM available in the iPhone 14 Pro Max models.

In the past, leaks claimed that the entire iPhone 15 series will come with the Dynamic Island, which is currently limited to only the iPhone 14 Pro models. Additionally, the iPhone 15 series could feature a USB Type-C port, replacing the Lightning port in favour of a universal charging standard. Last month, another leak suggested that the iPhone 15 Pro Max will come with a periscope lens with 5-6X optical zoom capabilities.
