Speaking to India Today, production designer Suresh Selvarajan said that this machine gun was actually made. It took five months to build and used 100 people as well as 500 kilograms of steel. Suresh said, “We never imagined what success would look like. I just created things as per Sandeep’s vision. But I never thought that it would go so viral. When I met him for the first time he told me that he wanted a machine gun, that too a big one.
Suresh told that it took four to five months to make this machine gun. We worked closely from concept designing. We thought about making it such that it would not be available anywhere else and neither would it be accused of being a copycat. The idea of making this gun was clear. He needed something that was very big, heavy and such that people would run away at the sight of it.
Ranbir Kapoor gave this reaction
When Ranbir saw the last machine gun he could not believe his eyes. The production designer told that Ranbir just kept looking at the machine. Only one thing came out of his mouth – what kind of animal you have created. Ranbir was never tired of praising the machine. Sandeep Reddy Vanga also liked the final machine gun.
