The incident happened when all the people were standing under a tree near a pond to avoid getting wet during the rain. During this time, suddenly a natural calamity fell on them. Three other people are injured in the accident, who have been admitted to the hospital for treatment.

In fact, today on 8th September at 3.30 pm, 7 people died due to lightning in village Mohtara (Latuwa) under Thana City Kotwali area. All the people were standing under a tree near Naya Talab to avoid rain. During this time, 7 people died on the spot due to sudden lightning. Also 3 other people are injured, who have been brought to District Hospital Balodabazar for proper treatment. The bodies of all the deceased have also been brought to District Hospital Balodabazar.
