Bilaspur News: Malaria continues to wreak havoc in Bilaspur, fifth death, young man was admitted to hospital for treatment

Bilaspur. Malaria continues to wreak havoc in Bilaspur district. After four consecutive deaths, the fifth death from malaria also occurred today. A young man admitted to the hospital for treatment after contracting malaria died during treatment today. Let us tell you that the four deaths that occurred before this also took place in Kota block. The young man who died today was also a resident of Kota block.

The outbreak of malaria along with diarrhea is increasing day by day in the district. Four children of Kota block have died so far due to malaria. Till yesterday Thursday, 17 new malaria and 27 diarrhea patients have been found. So far 733 diarrhea patients have been found in Ratanpur area. 88 malaria patients have been found in Kota block so far. Today again the fifth death occurred due to malaria. 35-year-old youth Prabhu Khusro, a resident of Kota area, was admitted to the Community Health Center Kota for treatment of malaria. The youth was suffering from high fever. Despite being admitted for treatment in Kota, his health was not improving. Due to which he was referred to Sims Medical College Hospital. He died during treatment on Friday.

According to CMHO Dr. Prabhat Srivastava, the young man is suspected to have died of malaria. The exact cause of the young man’s death will be known after investigation.

Administration running campaign

Seeing the increasing outbreak of malaria and diarrhea, the Bilaspur district administration is continuously running campaigns. The collector and senior officials of the district are constantly visiting the affected area. The administration is constantly appealing to run relief work, provide health facilities, ensure the presence of doctors and availability of medicines. Apart from this, a public awareness campaign is also being run apart from the free distribution of mosquito nets.
