LIVE: High profile meeting of Ajit Doval-Army chiefs with Amit Shah begins, terrorists will no longer be spared

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is holding a high profile meeting in Delhi due to the recent terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir. In this meeting, he can also give directions to the security forces and military officials to intensify anti-terrorism operations in the valley. The Union Home Minister is also reviewing the preparations for the Amarnath Yatra starting from June 29 this month and the security arrangements to be made for the devotees.

Shah’s meeting with Ajit Doval and Lieutenant Governor

National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Army Chief General Manoj Pandey, Army Chief Lieutenant General Upendra Dwivedi have participated in this meeting. Apart from this, Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla, Intelligence Bureau Director Tapan Deka, CRPF Director General Anish Dayal Singh, Jammu and Kashmir Police Director General RR Swain and other top security officials are participating in this meeting. Army Chief, Vice Chief, Army’s 15 and 16 Corps Commanders are also present in the meeting.

Surveillance on the border and strict action against intruders

Amit Shah will hold detailed discussions with top officials on the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir, deployment of forces on the International Border and the Line of Control and curbing infiltration attempts. Last week, terrorists attacked a bus in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir. 10 people lost their lives in this terrorist attack. Apart from Reasi, terrorists also attacked four different places in Kathua and Doda districts.

Amarnath Yatra is starting in this month of June

Two suspected Pakistani terrorists were also killed in an encounter with security forces in Kathua district. A large quantity of arms and ammunition was also recovered from them. Meanwhile, terrorist incidents in the valley have come to the fore ahead of the Amarnath pilgrimage starting in late June. The Amarnath pilgrimage will begin on June 29 and continue till August 19.
