US First Lady Jill Biden Tests Negative for COVID-19 After Recent Positive Result
Washington: Jill Biden initially tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday, with her communications director, Elizabeth Alexander, stating, “This evening, the First Lady tested positive for COVID-19. She is currently experiencing only mild symptoms. She will remain at their home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.”
In related news, President Joe Biden has tested negative for COVID-19 for the fourth time on Thursday evening, as reported by a White House official.
This negative result came shortly before President Biden’s departure from Andrews Air Base on Air Force One for India, where he is set to attend the G20 Summit scheduled to take place in New Delhi on September 9 and 10.
Starting Friday, President Biden has a tightly packed schedule for three days. After departing from the US, he will make a brief stopover in Ramstein, Germany, on Friday before arriving in New Delhi the same day.
On Friday, President Biden is slated to participate in a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, according to a White House press release.
Saturday will see President Biden’s participation in an official arrival and handshake with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, followed by involvement in the G20 Leaders’ Summit Session 1: “One Earth.” Later in the day, he will take part in the G20 Leaders’ Summit Session 2: “One Family” of the G20.
Additionally, President Biden is scheduled to participate in a Partnership for Global Infrastructure and Investment event. His day will conclude with a dinner and cultural program with G20 Leaders.
On Sunday, President Biden will visit the Raj Ghat Memorial along with other G20 Leaders.
Subsequently, President Biden is set to travel from New Delhi to Hanoi, Vietnam, on September 10.
